POST WAX AFTERCARE
KEEP IT CLEAN
Keep the area nice and clean. DO NOT touch the area with unclean hands and make sure you wear fresh laundered underwear or loose fitting clothing for the next 24-48 hours

EXFOLIATE 48-72 HOURS AFTERWARD
Did you know that waxing exfoliates the skin? That is why the skin is smooth and more radiant shortly after the service. You can skip your exfoliation for the first few days and start back based on what I suggest for your skin needs.
For face services, it is very important that you avoid using retinols or AHAs/BHAs since this can cause excess irritation. Same rules apply, wait about 2 or 3 days before using any products.
NO SEX, NO POOL, NO WORKOUT
I totally get the reason why you would want to get a fresh wax before a beach/ pool day or to tidy up before seeing a significant other. But it is best to schedule it a few days prior to avoid irritation, infection, or ingrowns!
Same goes with workouts. Sweat + friction + fresh waxed skin = a bad time. Wait a day or two before that next high intensity work out class.
THROW THAT LOOFAH AWAY
It's been a few days and you are ready to jump back into exfoliating. I suggest rotating out exfoliating gloves, dry brushing, or using an acid based cleanser or serum. Loofahs carry tons of bacteria since it sits wet and warm inside the shower. I can help you navigate which products work the best for the results you want.
DON'T TWEEZE OR SHAVE BETWEEN VISITS
If you are a first time client or it's been a while since your last visit, please know that the hair grows at different cycles. So it is common to see some hair growth within the same week or two of a waxing appointment. The best thing you can do is leave it be until the next visit. I promise you the hair removal process will be cleaner in future visits.
Freshly waxed skin is pretty vulnerable and the sun can cause more irritation or burning. If you have to go out, use sunscreen to protect the area.
LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF SUN EXPOSURE
LET IT GROW, GROW, GROW
Loved the results and can't wait to come back in as soon as possible? Great! But you have to let it grow out. The average turnaround time for a visit is 3-4 weeks or when your hair is 1/4 of an inch long. Too short of hair has a harder time being removed and can actually cause ingrown hairs. It is best to let it grow out.
CLEAN ITEMS THAT TOUCH YOUR FACE
The face tends to get a lot of breakouts after a wax. Things to take into consideration to alleviate that is to clean items that touch your face. Wipe down your phone, wash your makeup brushes, and replace your pillow cases. Also don't touch your face with dirty hands!
Congratulations, you made it through your wax appointment! Here is a list of things to do after your appointment to alleviate any issues after your wax.
